I did mount the bases & they look & function as I wanted, the only problem I had was that the lid of the saddle bags hit the top of the bases, they did close but created a slight opening on the leading edge of the bag, problem solved, I loosened the two bottom bolts inside the bag, then removed the top two mounting bolts, I then added an additional thin rubber washer to the existing one & re-mounted the bags. What that did was give enough clearance for the lid to securely close & not hit the top of the base & have a little space between the bag & the bases. I tried my ROK Straps & bungee cords & all fasten securely around the bases.

Hello! I have noticed that (the bore of) the black (nickel) bungee mate (Base) oxidizes.

Hello Marie! The Bases are made from aircraft grade aluminum which unfortunately over time and exposure to the elements can in some cases produce some oxidation (primarily in the bore area). The plating process for the Bases can not completely plate the bore so some exposure does occur. One thing you can do is to paint the inside with black fingernail polish or after taping off the face and outside areas, clean and spray paint the bore.

Great product...looks cool even if I don't use them to tie anything down. Much better than the factory bolts.
Your chrome quality looks top notch, and even though I may never tie much down on the pillion, I can if I need to.
The chrome is so much cooler than those anodized bits Triumph uses.

Today my second order with the longer pegs arrived safely. I have since installed them, replacing the button head bolts, which held the rack onto the bike. I have attached 3 pictures to allow other people to see how these can be used on a motor cycle and not just on the fenders. Dear Sir, today I received the Bungeemate Pegs and I have to say that I am VERY pleased with the quality of your products and the fast shipment of my order. I would like to order another set of the same metric pegs as of the previous order and I would also like 4 more but with a 2 inch thread length. I have aftermarket racks on my 2 Honda CB1000 and would like to put the pegs in place of the bolts fixing the rack to the bike…

Hi,
Have had a wet summer but there have been 3 and 4 day stretches of decent biking weather and am so glad I got the pegs. Use them constantly for camping gear with buggy net and buggy cords tied to those pegs only. They held up great. Got caught in a couple bad downpours and the stuff got wet as well. Everything stayed on the bike all the time, I find the pegs useful. Don’t know what I would do without them now. If I remember I will forward a couple pics with the bike fully loaded.

This is definitely a Quality product and a company I would recommend doing business with. When I received my package it was prompt and well packed, and contained a personal letter explaining a website error and a refund of duplicate shipping charges. I installed the pegs this evening and the length was perfect and I am very pleased with them. The only comment I would make is that the locking substance was applied a bit heavy so I just took a thread die and held it in my hand to clean up the threads. Email correspondence with the company is replied with quickly and always pleasant. It is a pleasure doing business with a company that puts customers first and the bottom line second.
