Bungee Base & Peg Installation and Usage

The Bungee Base and Bungee Peg are integral components that can be installed individually or together to allow for multiple configurable tie-down points at single or multiple locations.

Bungee Base Installation (Base only):
Choose the location on the fender rail where you want to install the Bungee Base. Remove the fender rail bolt (and washer if used) from that location. Place the fender rail bolt through the counter bore of the Base and re install the bolt with the Base. Tighten to the recommended torque.

Bungee Peg Installation (Peg only):
Choose the location on the fender rail where you want to install the Bungee Peg. Remove the fender rail bolt (and washer if used)from that location and save (both) for future use. Install the Peg in place of the fender rail bolt and tighten with an open end wrench to the recommended torque.*

Installation using both the Bungee Peg and Base:
Choose the location on the fender rail where you want to install the Bungee Base and Peg assembly. Remove the fender rail bolt (and washer if used) from that location and save (both) for future use. Place the Peg through the counter bore of the Base and install the assembly. Tighten the Peg with an open end wrench to the recommended torque. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!*

*USE ONLY AN OPEN END WRENCH TO TIGHTEN THE BUNGEE PEG.
TAKE CARE AS TO PLACEMENT OF THE WRENCH OR DAMAGE MAY RESULT TO
THE PEG, THE BASE, OR YOUR MOTORCYCLE.

WASHERS ARE NOT REUSED IN THE INSTALLATIONS.
Read your owner's manual for proper loading and load weights for your motorcycle.

Usage:
The Bungee Base is designed to allow two standard bungee cords to be wrapped around it and is tapered to prevent the cords from slipping.**
The Bungee Peg is designed to extend out just far enough to prevent hooks from scratching chrome or painted surfaces.**
Used together, the combination of the Bungee Base and Peg allows either three standard bungee cords OR two standard bungee cords and up to two hooks (depending on hook size, cord size and configuration) to be attached at a single location.**

**Using large diameter or “heavy duty” bungee cords will reduce or limit the number of cords the components will manage. Attaching hooks, either metal or plastic, to the Bungee Base or to the "barrel" section of the Bungee Peg is not recommended. Doing so places the hook against chrome and / or painted surfaces which may cause scratching.
